Terms of Use

These terms are an agreement between you and MAKENZO LLC ("MAKENZO," "we," "us"). They cover the makenzo.io website. By using the site you agree to them. If you don't agree, please don't use the site.

1. What these terms cover

These terms cover makenzo.io and every page on it, including the Good For It pages at makenzo.io/good-for-it. Our Privacy Policy explains what the site collects and is part of these terms.

They do not cover our products, which have terms of their own:

• MAKENZO Games. The makenzogames.com website and our games are covered by the MAKENZO Games terms.
• Leave. Leave is run by Leave Your Agent Inc., a separate company. The leaveyouragent.com website and the Leave apps are covered by the Leave terms.
• Good For It. The app is licensed to you under the terms shown with it on the App Store. Its data handling is described in the Good For It privacy policy.

Where a product's terms and these terms disagree about that product, the product's terms apply.

2. Using the site

You are welcome to read the site, link to it and share it. In return, we ask that you do not:

• use the site to break the law or to harm anyone;
• try to get into systems or data you have no permission to reach, or probe the site for weaknesses without asking us first;
• disrupt or overload the site, or send automated requests beyond ordinary search indexing that follows our robots.txt;
• submit false information through a form, or sign up an email address that is not yours;
• copy or mirror the site as a whole, or present it inside another site as if it were yours;
• pretend to be MAKENZO, or suggest that we endorse you or your product when we don't.

We may block access for anyone who does these things.

3. Who can use the site

The site is written for adults and is not directed to children under 13. If you are under 18, a parent or guardian should read these terms with you and agree to them for you.

4. Our content and brands

The text, design, images and code on this site belong to MAKENZO LLC or to the people who licensed them to us, and are protected by copyright and trademark law. The names and logos shown here belong to MAKENZO LLC or to the companies named alongside them.

You may link to any page, share screenshots, and quote short passages with credit to MAKENZO. For anything more, such as press use of our logos, email us and we will help. We keep all rights that these terms do not grant.

If you believe something on this site infringes your copyright or trademark, email hello@makenzo.io with the page address and the details, and we will look into it promptly.

5. Mailing lists and messages

When a mailing list is open on this site, joining is optional. We confirm your address before we send anything else, and every email includes a way to unsubscribe. The Privacy Policy describes what we store.

If you send us an idea or suggestion, we may use it without owing you anything, so please keep confidential or proprietary material out of unsolicited messages. The Privacy Policy covers how we handle the message itself.

6. Links to other sites

This site links to our other websites and to sites run by other companies, such as app stores. Each has its own terms and privacy policy. We do not control third-party sites and are not responsible for what is on them.

7. Information, not advice

The site describes our products and our plans. We work to keep it accurate, but it may contain mistakes or fall out of date. Statements such as "coming soon" describe plans, not promises, and release dates, features and prices can change.

Nothing on this site is financial, legal, tax or other professional advice.

8. Changes to the site

We may change, pause or remove any part of the site at any time, and we do not promise that any page or feature will stay available.

9. Disclaimers

The site is provided "as is" and "as available." To the fullest extent the law allows, we disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement. We do not promise that the site will be uninterrupted, secure or free of errors.

Some places do not allow these disclaimers, so parts of this section may not apply to you.

10. Limits on liability

To the fullest extent the law allows, MAKENZO will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for lost profits or lost data, arising from your use of this site. Our total liability for all claims about the site will not be more than 100 U.S. dollars.

These limits do not apply to liability that cannot be limited by law, such as liability for fraud. Nothing in these terms takes away rights you have under the consumer-protection laws of the place where you live.

11. Governing law and disputes

If you have a problem with the site, please email hello@makenzo.io first. Most problems can be settled that way, and we will try to resolve yours within 30 days.

These terms are governed by the laws of the United States and of the state in which MAKENZO LLC is organized, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. These terms do not require arbitration and do not ask you to give up joining a class action. Either of us may use small claims court where it is available.

12. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. When we do, we will change the "Last updated" date at the top and describe every material change in the change log below. The site has no accounts, so we cannot email you about changes; the date and the change log are the notice.

Updated terms apply to your use of the site from the date they are posted. They never apply to anything that happened before that date.

13. General

These terms and the Privacy Policy are the whole agreement between you and MAKENZO about this site. If a court finds part of these terms unenforceable, the rest stays in effect. If we do not enforce a term right away, we have not given it up.
